Star Ship profiles - ATIS
Space Vessels in use by the Aquarian Terran Imperial States
(Capital) RT-class Dreadnought
A super-capital class warship deployed by the Aquarian Imperial Navy. RT-class vessels are built upon the design of the UAS's 'Retribution-II' class dreadnoughts, incorporating many improvements and upgrades as they transition to Imperial Navy service. This class of Warship is the cornerstone of Imperial Terran military might, and the presence of one on a system is usually enough to quell most insurrections before they even start.
(Capital) ED-class Battlecruiser
A heavy warship in service with the ATIS Imperial Navy. ED-class Battlecruisers are based on the legendary 'Endeavour' hull designs dating back nearly a thousand cycles. The current iteration is essentially an upgraded Pattern 6 (S6) ED-AX, which itself is based on the highly successful Pattern 5A (S5A) which originally entered service with the UTN Federal Navy in 4003 A.D.
(Strikecraft) DF430 Deep Space Fighter
A versatile long-range Deep Space Fighter based on the Aquarian Federal Navy's older F-4300 Dragonfly. The DF430 is the mainstay of the Aquarian Imperial Navy's agile strike capability, and its multi-role capabilities have allowed it to assume almost every role required by the fighter class. Despite this, various dedicated adaptions exist, including a dedicated long-range bomber variant.
(Capital) RE-II-Class Battlecruiser
A highly advanced warship of the battlecruiser class built by Lorentis A.R.A.S Imperial Dock Yards for the Aquarian Imperial Navy in 4450 A.D. This lightweight capital ship emphasises speed and long-range guided ordnance facilitated by an advanced Hybrid Reactionless Gravimetric Drive System, 4th Generation SPARTAN-E Inter-solar Ballistic Missile System and cutting-edge advanced electronic systems as of its introduction into the Imperial Fleet in 4460 A.D
(Frigate) FR-EL-Type/Eel-class Assault Frigate
A light warship of the frigate class designed by the Imperial Navy for light escort / assault and sector patrol roles. Like all frigates in the AIN, it lacks a JDA and any form of FTL capability. As such, it is often used in-system or deployed by 'piggybacking' from HY-class carriers when used in harasser capacity against subsystems on larger ships in CQC range, thanks to its ability to carry a single B-type heavy weapon hardpoint on the ventral mount.
(Cruiser) HY-class Fleet Carrier
Versatile carrier platform based on the post-fall, UAS-developed Hydra-class hull design, incorporating elements from the proposed Series 2 of that hull. HY-class is a much more capable vessel, with enhanced electronic systems and a much improved primary armament. This class provides the Aquarian Imperial Navy with a fast, versatile carrier-strike capability, able to be deployed anywhere where ATIS has influence and beyond.
(Installation) Arctic-class Naval Platform
A post-fall Deep Space (independent of parent body) capable military installation developed originally by the UAS for Fleet Logistics and Resupply in remote sectors. Like almost all Post-fall installations, this platform is constructed using a highly modular, compartmentalised manufacturing process whereby utility "blocks" are re-purposed after initial construction for specific roles and assembled as necessary according to a pre-fabricated design schematic. As such, not all platforms designated under the Arctic (AT) classification are identical in layout. The Platform's role remains the same in service under the ATIS flag.
(Cruiser) RV2M-class
The first Pattern-2 derivative of the versatile Revolution-class Cruiser, RV2M provides the Imperial Navy with a dedicated long-range Anti-Capital and Inter System Ballistic Missile launch platform deploying the proven SPARTAN Missile System. RV2M-class cruisers also provide the backbone of the ATIS Fleet's mobile WTD Deterrent Program.
(Installation) Hercules MKII-class Mobile Jump Drive Array
One of the largest mobile space-faring structures currently seen in Aquarius, the Hercules MKII-class Mobile Subspace Gate (Jump Drive Array) entered service during the transition to the Imperial Era. The Subspace Gate network linking most systems in Aquarius is facilitated by these semi-static installations. Each Gate contains a massive powerplant capable of providing the immense energy required to create a tear in the fabric of space, allowing essentially any vessel to transit vast distances in the order of hundreds of parsecs, without requiring its own Jump Drive Array.
