Here is a relatively short video of me playing Dying Light on my Acer Predator Helios 500 Laptop, with Ryzen 7 2700X (Pro) and Radeon RX Vega 56, yes, that is a fully fledged Vega 56 GPU complete with HBM2 soldered onto a laptop motherboard. In this video, I babble about it and how GCN5 (Vega) is actually very efficient when it needs to be, and how Vega 10 had a lot of promise for AMD-powered high-end gaming laptops that compete with Nvidia's Mobile GTX 1070 models, yet only two (that I know of) OEMs implemented it, one being Acer and the other Clevo.
I am really excited by the concept of Vega 10 in a laptop, partly due to the uniqueness but also due to the excellent suiting for the small overall package footprint with its on-package memory and the pretty impressive (for 2017-2018) performance per watt it provides at 120W.
I am hyper and excited. :D
Vega 56 Laptop!
Here's the video. :D Remember to downvote and unsubscribe to my YT if you already subbed for some reason (Why would you even do that?):
