I am not going to lie. I really want an RTX 2080 SUPER. Since I'm re-uploading my Immersive Metro Exodus gaming videos, which I played on an RTX 2060 SUPER with Ray-Tracing enabled, I suddenly am overcome with the urge to get another RTX card. But this time, a slightly more powerful one.
It's also "slightly" more expensive. Okay, the quotation marks weren't enough there. It's a lot more expensive. But I really want the full-fat TU104 graphics processor. Something about that would make me a very, very happy catgirlboy. And you know what?
I'm going to get one. I'm also going to buy an Ryzen 9 3900X for WCG and content creation stuff (seriously), some time in mid-late February. So watch that space for some serious hardware upgrades.
But Sash, the 30-series is coming this year!
True, but waiting™ sucks, and I want Ray-Tracing again. It's just a freakin' awesome technology and I want a piece of that Ray-Traced cake in my computer, okay? Besides, I doubt the 30-series are < 6 months close, and if they are; YOLO-F***ING-SWAG. :D
The little GTX 1660 SUPER just reminded me how much... I did actually love Turing. It's a fantastic architecture with great forward-looking features; and the first time I can honestly say I think GeForce has the better long-term architecture.
I also want to play the next Metro Exodus DLC, on release, with Ray-Tracing.
But Sash, what about the GTX 1660 SUPER?
This little guy will not be forgotten. In fact, he will be forever remembered as the Catalyst to my return to GeForce (is that a Radeon pun?). Either way, it will find use in my living-room gaming PC where the low power consumption and high efficiency will be appreciated for Warframe-On-The-Sofa.
But Sash, you're a Retard!
I... I don't have a rebuttal to that one. :<
